The Belvedere palace

The Belvedere palace was built in the early 1700 century for prince Eugene of Savoy. The palace consists of both an upper and lower section joined together by beautiful fountains and gardens. Admission to the exterior portion is free and the tours inside are available for a price. To be honest I spent about five hours here as I finally purchased a SIM card and had the internet. It was a good time of day to phone folks from home due to the time difference and the setting was prime.

As you can see the grounds here are absolutely lovely and I would have liked to swim in the pond (if it was cleaner.) The Belvedere palace is actually closer toward the end of the semicircle inner layout of old town Vienna. Most of the famous sights in this town follow a half moon circle inside another semicircle, so it’s fairly easy to navigate. Vienna you’ve been great but this train is on a role. Up next in this European saga Praha, the city of Prague.
